Compassionate leadership is fundamental to high-quality, high- performing systems and drives improvement in performance. Professor Michael West
Senior Fellow at The Kings Fund
I’m excited to announce the birth of a new initiative: Compassion Lab. I’ve been working to create a way to work more closely with leaders in developing new ways of living with purpose and leading with clarity and respect. I’ve been driven by the question ” how do we lead with compassion in difficult times?” Compassion Lab is my answer.
First up I’m running a retreat in Woodend, Victoria on the 27th and 28th April 2017. I’m going to spend 2 whole days with only 28 Leaders as we learn together and dive deep to discover what Compassionate Leadership really means.
Over these two days we will incorporate lots of experiential and embodied learning.
Participants will learn how to lead with compassion to create safe working spaces that build co-operation and trust. Sometimes this means having difficult conversations where we need to be fully present and empathic as we give crucial feedback. We can do all of this from a place of joy and open heartedness.
We’re also setting time aside to turn our attention inward to develop greater empathy and emotional intelligence.
I’m looking forward to spending these two wonderful days walking, talking and sharing food with you as we learn together.
Check out the Retreat here and register your interest. Bookings will close as soon as we reach capacity.
See you in the Macedon Rages.
